For those of you away on Friday...and for those of you who want to consider these issues in more detail...
We discussed a number of themes in Animal Farm and considered how these were shown in the text.
The focus was on
Core human values
The human flaws we all have
Corruption, power and Greed
The use of propaganda
Timeless/Universal political ideas and the relationship to current events
It would be useful to choose one or more of these ideas and make some notes on how these ideas are drawn out in the novel, along with appropriate examples and quotations.
We will be looking more closely at themes in the coming week so thinking about it carefully now and beginning to write down your thoughts will be very useful
